The priming pulse is triggered whenever the ECU is powered on or when cranking starts (as set in the Injection Driver), and opens the injectors for a pre-set duration (in combination with powering the fuel pump) to spray in some initial fuel to wet the walls of the intake. It can be changed from the Start-up->Priming Pulse table, to reflect different pulse lengths at different temperatures.
