Once all of your parameters configured for initial testing, do some pulls with logging enabled.


You need to look at how much slip occurs during a good launch, and a bad one etc, and then, set the table "Acceptable Slip" for each gear as you see fit. For example, you may expect a lot of slip in 1st, but hardly any in 5th. Breaking traction in 5th would mean a serious loss of traction which should be handled, whereas a loss in first gear is quite typical and should pass through without torque limiting to a certain point.


You can see in the below example, we allow in first gear the rear (driven) wheels to go up to 40% (1.4 multiple) of the front (undriven) wheels before we start to torque limit. We reduce this allowable slip to only 5% (1.05 multiple) for fifth gear. By sixth gear we expect no slip at all.


If you have not setup your gear ratios and magic multiplier (check the "VSS gear" DRO under "System" is accurately reporting) then you can just set the table to the same value across all gears to ignore the gear input.


Use the Traction Control Status DRO to diagnose any specific issues when testing.
