For some installs, particularly ITBs  using an Alpha-N Fuel Mode, barometric correction is a useful modifier to compensate for altitude changes while driving.


It is worth noting that MAP is still a factor in the VE fuel equation. and a result, if you wire a MAP sensor into a spare analog (or use the on-board MAP sensor if running a plug-in) with the sensors pressure feed to the atmosphere, and the chosen Analog channel Assigned to MAP RAW (And the MAP HRT Calibrated correctly) then 100KPA will result in no fuel correction, but above or below will result in an accurate barometric correction modification to the final delivered fuel quantity.
