A critical thing to notice is the ‘Coils Rest State’ at the top of the Output Settings. If you are driving a wasted spark or normal coil pack DIRECTLY (i.e it does not contain an ignition amplifier, such as a Ford coil pack) then this should be set to NORMAL - that is, the output will be pulled to ground to ‘dwell’ the coil.


GEN2 (White) Plugins have this set to NORMAL. GEN1 (Black) Plugins usually have this set to INVERTED.
