PWM (Pulse Width Modulated) Low Side outputs are used for things like PWM idle, boost and VVT control valves. They can also be used as slow relay type outputs if you wish as they work from 1hz-500hz speeds. Spare coil or injector outputs can also be used as general PWM outputs.


Dependant on the ECU, some PWM outputs have different current capabilities, however, they are all LOW SIDE, meaning they provide a path to GROUND when turned on.

Remember you can also use Test Modes to test these outputs as needed.
