The ME442 ECU builds upon the ME221 feature-set by incorporating our premier control system bringing with it in-built Bosch 4.9 Wide-band Control, SD Card Data-logging with battery-backed Real-Time Clock, CAN-bus communications as well as a host of spare I/O and General Purpose custom tables. The ME442 ECU ships with a genuine Bosch LSU4.9 wideband sensor and integration harness in the box for the ultimate plug-and-play experience, no more aftermarket wideband controllers!

Exhuast Gas Temperature sensor

An EGT sensor provides crucial data for optimizing engine performance, detecting malfunctions, prevents overheating when used with engine protection strategies.

The ME442 Mitsubishi Plug-In is the latest plug-in Engine Management System for the Mitsubishi Evo 1-8. This package includes the Wideband Sensor and Cable.

Please note this system is directly Plug-n-Play for the Evo 5, and comes complete with the plastic insert to re-use the stock plastic ECU case. Other models, such as Evo (1-8) etc are also fully supported with minor pin-swaps and jumper settings as detailed in the Hardware Install Guide. If in doubt, please consult us or your tuner as to suitability.

This convenient plug-in ECU is designed to replace the original circuit board within the casing of the vehicle's factory ECU. The ECU retains the original connector, allowing for a straightforward installation process. The OEM ECU casing provides protection and ensures a clean, factory-like appearance. By fitting inside the original casing and utilising the original connector, the ECU offers a discreet and efficient way to upgrade the engine's control system.

With this type of plug-in ECU, you can enjoy the benefits of enhanced engine performance and customisation without needing to modify the wiring harness or perform extensive rewiring while maintaining full OEM functionality!

The only extra thing you need to do besides plugging it in is run a MAP vacuum hose (supplied) from the ECU to the intake manifold.

Along with the standard ME221 feature set, the ME442 version adds the following features:
