Power Distribution Modules (PDMs) have become a core part of modern motorsport electrical systems. They simplify wiring, add intelligence, and replace traditional fuses and relays — but they’re still often seen as complex and intimidating to install.
At Motorsport Electronics Ltd, we’ve spent the last 18 months developing a new 24-channel PDM with one clear aim:
make PDMs easier to install, without limiting advanced users.
Starting with real-world installs
Rather than designing the software around feature lists or logic tables, we focused on how people actually build and visualise electrical systems.
The user interface is built around a visual, circuit-based approach, allowing the most common power and control circuits to be configured quickly and intuitively. For many installs, this means you can build and test core vehicle functions in minutes, without needing to dive straight into logic or maths.
Crucially, this simplicity doesn’t limit capability. For advanced users, full logic, conditional behaviour, and mathematical functions are available when required — layered on only where they add value.
The result is a system that gets cars powered and functional quickly, while still supporting highly complex strategies for those who need them.
Hardware built for motorsport use
The PDM has been developed alongside the software, with a focus on reliability and clarity:
-
24 power outputs
-
16 analogue / digital inputs
-
AMP Superseal 1.0 connectors
-
Dual CANbus
-
USB-C connectivity
-
Onboard logging
-
Dedicated wiper output
-
CNC billet aluminium enclosure
Designed to grow with the user
For first-time PDM users, the setup process is structured and intuitive.
For experienced installers, nothing is restricted — full flexibility remains.
This makes it suitable for motorsport teams, professional installers, and advanced DIY builds alike.
Beta testing now open
We’re currently inviting beta testers to help finalise the system through real-world installs and feedback.
If you’ve installed a PDM before — or are planning your first — we’d love to hear from you.
